Do we have to leave oasisSIS v5?
No. pantherSIS and oasisSIS v5 are designed to run side by side, so you can move office by office on your own timeline.
How do we move our data?
The import wizard walks through eight steps: people, custom fields, courses, academic records, terms, programs, program enrollment and the academic calendar. You can use our templates or match your own columns. Every row gets a result, re-uploading is safe, and imported accounts stay locked until you choose to Go Live. You can even bulk-import student photos matched by ID.
Is the AI safe to use with student records?
Ask AI only sees what the signed-in user can see, and only inside the module they're working in. Any change is shown as a before-and-after preview and saved only when a person clicks Confirm. Every confirmed change is logged. AI changes stay off until your college switches them on.
Does it work with our LMS?
pantherSIS has its own Course Builder and hosts SCORM packages. It also syncs rosters, enrollments and grades with Canvas, Moodle, Google Classroom and Buzz, and can browse rosters in TalentLMS, Absorb and Edvance360.
How will our staff learn it?
The pantherSIS Tutor sits in every module's sidebar and teaches in a window beside the real screens. Every page has a ? button into more than 550 help topics, and your school can book live training sessions during onboarding.
Which payment processors and integrations are supported?
Staff card payments work with Stripe, Forte, CardConnect and Authorize.Net, and card numbers are never stored. Email goes through Amazon SES, SendGrid or Mailgun; texts through Twilio or ClickSend. Sign-in supports Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Meta and X.
Can we host our own database?
Yes. Colleges can choose to run their pantherSIS database on their own server.
